Lake Tahoe Balloon has an excellent safety record and what make us unique is that we land on a boat rather than hard ground. As a result our landings are gentle and our flights are appropriate for nearly everyone from 6 years old on up. Of course as is the case with any activity, ballooning has its risks.
Yes, we provide coffee, tea, packaged pastries and snacks aboard the Tahoe Flyer as part of every flight. For group buyouts, we are happy to discuss upgrades.
Rain, snow or wind, inclement weather is the bane of every balloonists existence. If your flight is canceled as a result of the weather, you balloon flight will be refunded in full. We are happy to discuss "plan b" options with you in the event of weather cancelations.
Yes! We recommend using the restroom at the Tahoe Keys Marina before boarding but we also have a restroom aboard the Tahoe Flyer, our custom USCG balloon launch and recovery vessel. The balloon itself is not equipped with a restroom.
We are happy to help you arrange transportation to and from the Tahoe Keys Marina if it is needed. Pricing will vary depending on where your group is being picked up from.
A hot air balloon flight over Lake Tahoe is an amazing, one-of-a-kind experience and as such, we book up quickly. We suggest planning ahead and securing your booking well in advance. The larger the group, the more lead time we advise. That said, we will do whatever we can to accommodate you if you're a bit behind schedule. Call us at 530-544-1221 and we will see what we can to in order to accommodate your group.
It depends on the size of your group and any additional package upgrades you select however, our base price is $5000 for an exclusive flight of up to 12 guests and $10,000 for a buy of both balloon and boat.
